SC Housing is turning homeownership dreams into reality for South Carolina’s public servants through the 2026 Palmetto Heroes Down Payment Assistance Program, including up to $10,000 in down payment assistance and lower fixed interest rates.

The program supports those who play a vital role in their communities, including firefighters like you.

Qualified Palmetto Heroes homebuyers must meet SC Housing’s First Time Homebuyer requirements and may receive FHA, VA, USDA or Conventional financing. Borrower’s must have an executed sales contact on a home prior to reserving funds. Interest Rate is subject to change without notice and funding is limited.
