Good Neighbor grant notice

The National Volunteer Fire Council and State Farm are offering $10,000 grants through the Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program to help volunteer departments purchase critical equipment. In 2026, 150 departments will be selected, with a total of $1.5 million in funding available.

Eligible departments must be mostly volunteer, serve populations under 25,000, and demonstrate a clear need for equipment. Applications are only open for a few days, so plan ahead!

Applications open May 4 at 12 p.m. noon.
