Fire Officer Academy 26-01 applications open October 1

Candidates for the 25-02 offering of the Fire Officer Academy are nearing the deadline for their online assessment work. As we prepare to host the ones who are selected by the Selection Committee to move forward, we’re simultaneously gearing up to open the applications for FOA 26-01.

Applications for the Fire Officer Academy: The Company Officer 26-01 (March 8-13, 2026) open October 1 at 8 a.m. And for the first time, FOA applicants can request an FOA mentor to help them through the process.

Everything about FOA is intentional, and that starts with the application and selection process. This is a highly competitive program and the Selection Committee selects the top 30 candidates to move forward to the online assessment portion. Because of the extremely competitive nature of initial application pool, the small details are often the difference between rejection from the program or an invitation to continue the process.
