The Cherokee Springs Fire Department is hiring a Captain of Administration / Fire Marshal. The position is under limited supervision, performs administrative and technical work in the assigned areas. The selected person will operate as the Administrative Captain assisting with payroll, account payables, insurance, reporting, and other assigned duties.

The selected candidate will also perform the duties of the department Fire Marshal conducting fire enforcement activities in fire prevention, public fire safety education, fire safety inspection, and building and fire code compliance to provide a safer living and working environment for the residents and visitors of the Cherokee Springs Fire District. Work involves providing for fire life safety of the public and First Responders using laws, codes, policies; and providing a safe and hazard free work environment through education and training.

The Cherokee Springs Fire Department offers a full benefits package with free health care for the employees and an affordable rate for family coverage. The minimum starting pay is $54,500.
